Victoria’s 7 Peaks Ride is the ultimate Australian alpine ascent challenge, running from October to the end of March. It’s an at-your-own pace cycling challenge which takes you up winding mountain roads, around steep turns and past spectacular views right to the top of Victoria’s Alpine Resorts.

Every time you ride one of the 7 Peaks, stop at the top and get a stamp in your 7 Peaks passport and enter the draw to win some amazing prizes.

Lake Mountain is the closest 7 Peaks Ride to Melbourne. Start the ride in Marysville and climb a challenging 21 kilometres to the resort village. Reaching grades of up to 10 percent, the first 4 kilometres up Robley Spur is the most sustained and steepest part of the whole ascent.

Once you reach the top of the spur the stunning views from the lookout across the Cathedral Range are your bonus. A short downhill section, rolling climbs and flatter areas, break up the ride, before the last gentle climb to the village.
