History and heritage
Wander down Queen Street and take in the nineteenth century architecture found in the ornate facades and archways of the local banks, shops and hotels. Take a trip back in time at the heritage listed Warragul Station and Shire Hall, built in 1893, and now housing the historical society. If you need some fresh air, head to the countryside and discover the beauty of the surrounding fields and hills with a drive along the Old Sale Road.

Choose from a vast array of restaurants, wineries and bakeries in the area and settle in for an evening of boutique local wine and fine cuisine. Take home tantalising chutneys and jams at Clearly Delicious, buy fresh produce at Lardner Park Market, or marvel at the picturesque landscapes surrounding the Wild Dog Winery. If you're holidaying in March, be sure to plan your trip around one of the many events at the Gippsland Food and Wine festival
