Start your city wanderings at Federation Square, with its signature shard-like buildings, a world away from the Moorish Revival-exteriors of the nearby Forum Theatre. Cross the Yarra to check out the futuristic shapes of the Arts Centre's beacon-like spire and Eureka Tower. Keen on art deco? Head across the Manchester Unity Building on Collins Street and Cathedral Arcade, located on the corner of Flinders Lane's and Swanston Streets.
