Want to get serious? Head straight to the Murray River – the ultimate destination for waterskiing in Victoria. The Murray attracts experienced water skiers and beginners learning for the first time. Pick from a number towns along the Murray, with great facilities available at Lake Boga, Lake Mulwala and Lake Hume.

The Gippsland Lakes and the Hazelwood Pondage in Central Gippsland, are ideal for waterskiing. Both feature deep fresh water and wide open spaces suitable for a range of water sports.

Race for the prize

Don't miss the waterskiing events that take place annually in the Murray. Pencil the Club Marine Southern 80 into your holiday diary, the largest waterskiing race in the world and held annually in Echuca. While the Mildura 100 Ski Race is another high profile event attracting big crowds.

Jet skiing

Want to ramp things up even further? Bring out the jet ski on your holiday, though do make sure you're in a designated jet ski zone and that you follow speed restrictions.
