Beechworth is one of Victoria's best preserved gold towns, with numerous historic buildings including the Beechworth Historic and Cultural Precinct. The precinct is a series of authentic gold rush administration buildings identified as the most historically significant of its kind in Victoria.

The Beechworth Court House was the scene of countless trials involving Ned Kelly, his family and associates. The 'Street of Shops' and the diverse and interesting collection at the Burke Museum is not to be missed.
