| For a good feed at a decent price, local pubs are the way to go, and with so many deciding to go down the gastro-pub route the competition is fierce, and a bad meal is often more difficult to find than a good one. The Railway Hotel offers diners all they could ever want from a pub meal, serving all the usual favourites, such as chicken parma, plus the chef's specialties (described on an enormous mural of a blackboard menu). After eating in the laidback bistro area or the more formal dining room, adjourn to the railway-themed bar, where crowds are regularly entertained by live music.
