Walk the Bay Trail
Stroll along this bayside path from the cafes of St Kilda to the elegance of seaside Brighton. From your starting point at St Kilda Pier, pass historic Luna Park before stopping off for coffee and cake on bustling Acland Street. The trail continues south, past the St Kilda Marina, through parks and past restaurants and sports grounds. Take in spectacular views of the city skyline, or watch the yachts and sailboarders jostle for position out on the bay along the way.
Williamstown
Travel over the soaring Westgate Bridge or take the ferry from St Kilda and jump ship at this historic seaport. On the western rim of Port Phillip Bay, Williamstown offers a relaxing alternative to the hustle and bustle of the city and suburbs. Stroll along the Strand, take in the local arts, crafts and antiques and enjoy one of the best views of the city skyline you’ll find. Take a tour on the historic sailing vessel Enterprize, or stay on solid land to watch yachts on the bay.
St Kilda
Sample a rich multicultural flavour in the restaurants and bars that line St Kilda’s Acland and Fitzroy streets. In summer, dine alfresco at an endless selection of bars, cafes and restaurants, such as Donovans and the Stokehouse. On weekends, join the locals enjoying one of the best water views in Melbourne or the fun at historic Luna Park.
