Not all visitors to the country seek rest and relaxation. Some are keen to test their skills and try new activities. If you fit this category… there’s a range of energetic pursuits awaiting you.
Llama Eco-Treks, bird watching, wildlife viewing, cycling, tennis, fishing and boating are all available on the property... whilst National Park enthusiasts will find the Cathedral Ranges just across the road... and mountain bikes on their verandas to make exploring more enjoyable.
In the evening, Jacuzzi fans can engage in conversation with a cheeky Brush Tail Possum as she scampers by to steal her supper roses from the garden… whilst tennis players may be partnered by some large-footed team-mates, in the form of our resident Kangaroos.
Fishermen are catered for also, although some may have their sport interrupted by a Platypus paddling past. Horse riding is available nearby, and more challenging activities… abseiling, skiing, rock-climbing, white-water rafting and hot-air ballooning are within reach.
If gentle exercise is more your style, the undulating fairways of the Marysville golf course will surely appeal … a wander through the Mystic Mountain rainforest… a visit to the Healesville Sanctuary… or a picnic beside Steavensons Falls. Wine buffs will find wineries within easy driving distance in every direction.
Alternatively, water enthusiasts may wish to discover the splendour of Lake Eildon - six times the size of Sydney Harbour - aboard the MV Eildon Explorer … or hire a picnic barge to explore the many secluded inlets by yourselves.
Llamas are members of the camelid family, related to the dromedary and Bactrian camel, as well as the alpaca, guanaco and wild vicuna.
For thousands of years in their native homeland of Peru, these charismatic and curious creatures provided their Incan masters with the sole mode of transport.
Today, in the 21st century our transportation is somewhat more high-powered, in keeping with the rapid pace of modern living … occasionally, however, one needs to take a break … to pause and rediscover life's simple pleasures.
A leisurely trek with your own personal llama companion, as he leads you through the shaded trails of 'Blue Gully' - Kingbilli's own wildlife sanctuary - carrying a delicious al fresco luncheon or that special hilltop supper for two … is the perfect way to soothe the psyche and recapture your sense of peace and well-being.
And whilst your guide lays out your hamper, there's time to photograph and enjoy the 360 degree panoramic views across the Cathedral
Valley to the ranges beyond … to let the soft breezes and the sounds of the bushland seep into your soul and work their magic.
Then after an appetizing meal and a bottle of wine, it's simply a gentle trek downhill before returning to civilization.

Children are the conservationists of tomorrow... and this is why we've created Pouch Professors... an outdoor education activity designed especially for kids, teaching them all about Australian wildlife in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Kingbilli's resident biologist and experienced wildlife rehabilitator, Georgina, whisks children away to the shade of gum tree, where they spend an hour or so learning about their chosen native animal. Towards the end of the session, they set off into the nearby bush to use their newfound knowledge to find one of these creatures, and have the pleasure of meeting them face to face.
