Length:  30 kilometres
Walk:  11 hours one way
Track:  Moderate
Grade:  Moderate
Start:  Jan Juc car park
Finish:  Moggs Creek picnic ground

This trail showcases the spectacular diversity of the Surf Coast. Stroll along sandy beaches beneath towering cliffs or take fine views of the coast from vantage points high above the waves crashing against rocky headlands.

Watch surfers riding the waves of internationally famous Bells Beach, and kangaroos grazing peacefully on the fairways at the Anglesea Golf Club. Wander through the attractive ironbark forest and coastal heathland of Ironbark Basin, with its historic mining remains and superb views of the rugged cliffs of Point Addis. Stop for a relaxing picnic on the grassy banks of the Anglesea River, and admire the slender elegance of Split Point Lighthouse in its dramatic setting at Aireys Inlet. From the end of the trail at Moggs Creek it’s a short drive to the town of Lorne and its excellent beachfront cafes and restaurants.

It’s easy to walk one or more sections of the trail, as it can be accessed at many points along the route.
