Taste of Gold Trail

This tour is made up of five trails designed to help you explore the fresh produce, specialty foods and fine wines that characterise this region.
 
The trails take you throughout the Goldfields and feature a great variety of farm gates, provenders, wineries, farmers markets and restaurants. Most are just over an hour or so from Melbourne and all within easy reach of Goldfields towns and villages.

Meet the winemakers at small, family-owned vineyards and cellar doors. Discover restaurants that bring together notable historical settings with wonderful contemporary food and wine. Buy freshly-picked apples and pears straight from the growers or visit one of the regular farmers' markets and try some of the locally pressed olive oil, artisan cheeses and handmade chocolates.

Drop into a local Visitor Information Centre to pick up one or all five Taste of Gold brochures and when planning your trip be sure to look up the dates of the many food and wine events in the region.
