Tarra-Bulga National Park is 220 km south-east of Melbourne (Melway ref: 528 D8). To access the park, drive south from Traralgon along the Traralgon Creek Road, north from Yarram along the Tarra Valley Road or Balook Yarram Road, or via the Grand Ridge Road from either Carrajung or Mirboo North.

Holey Plains State ParkLocated in East Gippsland covering an area of 10,460 hectares, mostly banksia-eucalypt open-forests and woodlands growing on a series of low sandy ridges. The park, proclaimed in 1977, protects an extremely high diversity of native flora and abundant wildlife, while providing for bush walking, picnicking, camping and other activities.
Jack Smith Lake State Game ReserveFeaturing extensive coastal lagoons, salt marshes and native grasslands, Jack Smith Lake provides valuable feeding and nesting habitat for a range of waterbirds.
