YEA AND DISTRICT TOURIST ASSOCIATION INVITES YOU TO VISIT,

Then you will understand our claim "All roads lead to Yea"

SITUATION

Yea is a small rural community just one and a half hour’s drive from the city – ideally situated for a tranquil weekend getaway.

ACCOMMODATION

A range of accommodation includes; hotels, motels, camping and caravan park and out of town some beautiful bed and breakfast retreats.

EATING

This is as varied as your taste could require. A feature of the town is the use of fine historical buildings as the site for fine restaurants – often combining the function of art galleries.

ACTIVITIES

Within the town are short walks and varied recreational activities, from the relaxing to the physically challenging for the more energetic.

Moving into the surrounding area, you can explore the scenic drives and some of our most beautiful natural landscapes. These include the Murrindindi Cascades, The Valley of a Thousand Hills, the lovely Killingworth River drive and the developing wine areas in many of the surrounding valleys.

EVENTS

One of our major events is the annual Autumn Festival. This usually runs in March and , for 2002, will be held on March 17. It is a day of art, craft, food, drink, market stalls and entertainment. Vintage and classic vehicles from accross Victoria are on view and all participants take part in the Grand Parade. This site will give more information as it becomes available.
