At Bogong Horseback Adventures we have been running our award winning tours for 24 years. With licensed access to the Alpine National Park and Mount Bogong, our riding landscape is truly spectacular.

We travel from rich mountain valleys to the vast Bogong High Plains and Victoria's highest mountain, Mount Bogong. Our award winning tours combine, great food and wine, fantastic mountain bred horses and friendly, experienced staff.

With a range of tours from three days to seven days, we can cater for riders of all levels of experience. We take care to match horse and rider, offer tuition to those who desire.

Our Spring Spur stables, nestled below Victoria's highest mountain, are an ideal starting point to experience the best the High Country has to offer. The Bogong area of the Alpine National Park features the seven highest peaks in Victoria, vast rolling High Plains, dozens of historic huts, mobs of brumbies, fast flowing mountain rivers, spectacular displays of wildflowers, old goldmines and a network of mining and cattle tracks cut into mountain sides over 100 years ago.

The best way to experience this vast area, most of it inaccessible to 4WD, is to join one of our Packhorse supported tours. Continuing an unbroken tradition dating back to the 1860's, our team can take you on the journey of a lifetime.

Breeding and training our own Australian Stock Horses, we also have a program of clinics and workshops in Australian Horsemanship, offering insights into the traditions of mountain horse lore, natural horsemanship and the skills of bush riding, camping with horses and using packhorses.

We also offer two hour, half day and full day rides in the Alpine Park from our Tawonga stables.
