Sorrento
Join in the good life amid Sorrento's imposing limestone buildings, whether you're dining by the water, browsing galleries and boutiques or swimming alongside dolphins.
Dining in style
Spot bottlenose dolphins and feed pelicans on the foreshore from your table at the Baths Restaurant in the old tearooms. Feast on delicious 'pub grub' atop the cliffs at historic Hotel Sorrento. Pack a picnic with fresh local produce from Stringers Store, or simply enjoy fish and chips on the beach followed up with homemade gelato from Glace Gelato and Juice as you browse the boutiques.
If you're after award-winning food and wine, stick around Sorrento. Start with pancakes for brunch at Buckleys Chance Pancake Parlour, then move onto Three Palms for its Asian-fusion menu or dine under the eponymous tree at Loquat.
Seaside escape
Splash about at the village 'front beach', and the wild, rocky 'back beach', pounded by waves from Bass Strait. Depart from the pier for seal and dolphin swimming adventures, fishing trips and bay cruises, or explore the waters below on a scuba diving expedition.

How to get there
Sorrento is located 112 kilometres south of Melbourne. A year-round car and passenger ferry service connects Sorrento with Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula, across the bay. This makes exploring the region simple and completes the Around the Bay touring route.
