The sun rises large and red out of a turquoise ocean; cool white sand and the call of one hundred birds. A new day begins on the Gippsland Lakes.

Sunset, so soon. The breeze abates; the calm lake surface is awash with pink and gold. A nigh owl calls, kangaroos graze, and barbecue smoke curls lazily towards a star-filled sky. Soft voices, laughter and thundering surf in the background.
A perfect day draws to a close.
