Werribee Park
The Chirnside family originally owned much of the Werribee Plains and built Werribee Park Mansion in the late 1870s. The colonial homestead is Victoria’s largest private residence and has become one of state’s major tourist attractions after it was purchased by the State Government of Victoria and restored to its original splendour.
See how one of Victoria’s richest families lived on this twelve-hectare property. Journey into the world of contemporary sculpture with a stroll through Werribee Park Sculpture Walk’s interesting collection of work by Australia’s leading sculptors. Inhale the perfume of 5,000 roses at Victoria State Rose Garden (best from November to April).

Come face-to-face with giraffes, zebras, wallabies and emus at Werribee Open Range Zoo. View the largest collection of military aircraft in the southern hemisphere at RAAF Museum in Point Cook. Go walking in the You Yangs Regional Park and discover Aboriginal rock wells on Big Rock.
