Wilsons Prom Circuit Trail

Wilsons Promontory National Park

Length: 44 kilometres
Walk: 3 days/2 nights return
Track: Varies
Grade: Moderate
Start: Tidal River
Finish: Tidal River

The 3-day Prom circuit takes in the breadth of scenery at Victoria’s best loved national park. The track heads east across Windy Saddle before dipping through tall fern gullies and over a boardwalk-covered swamp into Sealers Cove, a pretty inlet protected by rocky peaks and tall eucalypts. Camp here overnight or continue on to the clear waters of Refuge Cove, a 6km walk along a scenic coast track. The following day’s hike climbs near Kersop Peak, a prominent point that affords views across the wild coast (keep an eye out for whales). Descend to Little Waterloo Bay, the second campsite, through a forest of sheoaks and banksias, and the next day cross the dunes and coastal scrub of Oberon Bay back to Tidal River.

Status: Track work is ongoing and some sections may be rough
