Experience the warmth of open fires and country style hospitality at The Station Guest House, Daylesford. Your host Lynton Shannon will be delighted to welcome you to his home, a gracious homestead built in 1853 by an American during the days of the goldrush. Together with the Manor House, recently constructed to compliment the original, thes two colonial style homes nestle tranquilly together on a pretty rural property a close walk to the township centre. The old Homestead features two bedrooms with open fires, period bathrooms with clawfoot baths, lounge and open fire, a conservatory dining and breakfast area and an old wine cellar. Each room has been meticulously decorated in a period and country era. From the original brass bed in the Honeymoon Suite of the Provincial Room to the Blackwood Bed of the Colonial Room. In all there are four double rooms. The refinement of the new Manor boasts seven individually decorated bedrooms, each with their own charm. Centrally located is an elegant lounge with two grand open fires to relax in front of, with a foyer and lovely outlook over a pond to the countryside. The new Manor consists of two family rooms, five double and one single room all of which are fully ensuited. Masseurs can come to the rooms by arrangement and we are a short drive to the Spa Complex of Hepburn Springs, and a wide range of other interesting activities.
