Ambleside On The Lake

With absolute lake frontage and boasting magnificent views of Lake Daylesford and Wombat Hill, Ambleside offers luxurious Edwardian accommodation.

Situated in picturesque central Victoria, Daylesford is an easy 80 minute drive from Melbourne.  Daylesford is also well situated for short visits to Bendigo, Ballarat, Hanging Rock, Woodend and even Melbourne!

Featuring 3 spacious ensuited guestrooms and exclusive guest lounge areas, guests can totally relax and enjoy the privacy they deserve.

Each guestroom features QS beds, private ensuites, irons, hairdryers, toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities and they are all fully air-conditioned for year round comfort.  Deluxe rooms now feature a small sofa and all rooms now have Ipod Docking clock radios.   Who said "Edwardian" had to be "old fashioned" !

Our Lakeview Suite features sliding doors onto a private veranda with stunning views of Lake Daylesford.  It also has a small lounge area with  a DVD player and small sofa.  A spacious room and great for spending a few days in.

The 2nd deluxe room features a gas-log fireplace, as well as an additional single bed for twinshare accommodation, or if required could sleep a 3rd adult (fees apply).   This room also features a small sofa.  This is a great winter room with windows on both sides allowing the sun to stream in - this is a real bonus on wintry days.

The Standard Room doesn't feature lake views or log fires, so it is slightly cheaper than the other rooms.  It still has a Qbed and ensuite, and all the other features listed above.

Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the lake with an extensive a-la-carte menu to choose from.  Breakfast is included daily and is cooked to order.

Our tearooms operate by appointment and, for special occasions, High Tea is also available  (by arrangement).
