Mountain View Holiday Retreat

Nestled in the Valley on the Ovens River and bordered by the Alpine National Park, Mountain View Holiday Retreat is an accredited group accommodation and holiday retreat for schools, clubs, families and other user groups including: motor bike organisations, music and drama clubs, horse clubs, bushwalking,  downhill skiing,  x-country skiing and art/craft groups.

Mountain View Holiday Retreat is ideally located in Harrietville on the Great Alpine Rd in North East Victoria.  As the closest Off Mountain Accommodation to Mt Hotham we are able to provide  a range of  winter activities and services including ski hire, lift tickets and bus transport. Central to Falls Creek, Mt Buffalo and Bright, offers groups and other users the flexibility of utilising our venue, facilities and services all year round.  

Accommodating up to 100 people in 20 en-suited rooms, guests may relax in the cool garden setting during the warmer months or enjoy the cosy log fires and convenient facilities for the winter skiing.

Take advantage of the ambiance at the Retreat, with the varied facilities offered, for any number of activities. 20 En-suited bedrooms (most with cable TV & in house movie facilities) are serviced by guest lounges providing relaxing facilities and complimentary tea and coffee.

Our 100 seat fully licensed restaurant and bar offers a home style menu with cosy open fireplace for the winter months.

On site facilities include: 8 person spa house, games room, laundry facilities & ski drying rooms, playground including flying fox, summer outdoor cinema, volley ball, and mountain bikes.

Program and activities assistance is available in the following areas: outdoor education, winter ski packages, environmental science, conferences & Retreats, activities specific for Primary, Secondary & Tertiary groups, sports, yoga health and well being.

We also assist with specialist clubs/groups including cycle, bushwalking, 4WD, trail bike, motor bike organisations, horse and pony clubs and fishing along with history/art/craft/ music workshops.
