Local Produce The Murray
The Murray region is Victoria’s, and Australia’s, food bowl. Rich soils, a sunny Mediterranean climate, and Murray River water for irrigation encourages the production of a huge range of fruits, especially citrus fruits and grapes, vegetables, olives and nuts. The river also provides a plethora of seasonal fresh water fish, including the famed Murray cod. Sample local produce at restaurants, farmers markets and roadside stalls throughout the region.
