Lake Mountain is the third most-visited cross-country alpine resort in the world, offering a network of well-marked beginner and advanced trails spanning 39 kilometres.
The highlight of the Victorian cross-country skiing calendar is The Kangaroo Hoppet, Australia's premier long distance cross-country ski race. It’s held at Falls Creek on the last Saturday in August each year (28 August 2004).
