MossGlen on Panton Hill

Our sun-bathed cottage with its fully self contained accommodation and outside bar-b-que, overlooks the natural native garden, thronging with birds of many varieties. Just one hour from central Melbourne, with close connection to the Western Ring Road and Tullamarine Airport, Panton Hill is a rural suburb on the edge of the Yarra Valley and close to Eltham and its Montsalvat artists colony and galleries.

Local wineries abound and tourists are well accommodated with local events including open garden days and mud-brick house tours held each year in the immediate area.

The cottage accommodation is newly renovated, comfortable, and with all facilities. It is close to the General Store, Panton Hill Hotel, School and Church that make up the major part of the village. There is private parking available.

The cottage is separate from the main house and consists of a main living room with reversible air-conditioner, kitchen and large bedroom with queen size bed and ensuite with large shower, bath (Jacuzzi) and toilet. There is colour TV, DVD and CD player. A second double bedroom is available.

The Panton Hill area is the ideal jumping off point for the Yarra Valley, with its wineries, food trail and racecourse and the wonderful Eltham town.

Eltham is 14 minutes towards the city and is the home to the famous MontSalvat artists colony, the Diamond Valley miniature railway and many eating spots for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Yarra Glen is a 10 minute drive, passing by the Winnike Dam with its park and bar-b-que setting and fishing and sailing areas.The Yarra Glen Racecourse is part of the Picnic Race circuit, as is the beautiful Healesville racecourse  

Within walking distance is Melbourne’s closest genuine rural pub – The Panton Hill Hotel which has a real country atmosphere serving great meals.
