B&B On The Sea

B&B On The Sea
Aptly named the B&B On The Sea, this 35 foot sailing cruiser offers the anxious sailor in all of us the chance to sail and sleep in the heart of Melbournes Docklands. The beauty of this little adventure is that you dont need to be a veteran of the sea but you will get to steer the boat and actually sail.

Healesville Hotel

Healesville Hotel
Healesville is one of those locations that get you thinking about forests, rolling hills, mountains and just a nice quiet place to hang out. But what you could also be thinking about is good food, great brews and the perfect spot to indulge. Around one hour's drive from Melbourne the Healesville Hotel has pioneered the way for this little town to become one of the most popular culinary destinations in Victoria.

Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel
Coco Chanel learnt to sew as a child in an orphanage before opening a millinery shop in 1913. Her business grew into a fashion house in the twenties when she introduced the cardigan jacket, the little black dress and a more relaxed style of clothing for the time. The couturier retired mid-career for 15 years only to re-open her Paris salon in 1954 selling the classic Chanel suit. Chanels General Manager for communications Susie Stenmark gave us her time for the day to show us how to get that Chanel look. 209 Collins Street, Melbourne Ph 03 9671 3533 www.chanel.com

The Deck-House at Wye River

Wye River Accommodation The Deck House
Only 174 kilometres south west of Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road, Wye River is that sleepy hamlet town we all yearn for when city life is becoming too much. This extraordinary cliff top sanctuary is called The Deck House, and it truly is a heart stopper. Overlooking the turquoise waters of the Great Southern Ocean, its a breath of sea air inspiration offering what could be described as your modern day blue lagoon. Here, no one could even hope to disturb your peace, with the exception of the occasional bird and maybe one or two surfers.

Nobu

Crown & Nobu
Recently the hottest ticket around was the opening of the Japanese restaurant Nobu, situated on Southbank as part of the Crown Entertainment Complex. Not only was Australias A-list crowd there but also a genuine Hollywood film star, Robert De Niro. The actor is a co-owner of the five-star chain and attended with his business partner, celebrity chef Nobu, for whom the restaurants are named. Nobu Melbourne is open for dinner seven nights a week and opens for lunch in November. If youd like any details on whats on or new at the Crown Entertainment Complex visit their website.
