When creative forces of the culinary world combine, you can expect something bold and innovative to come to fruition. A case in point is Coda Bar & Restaurant. In June, 2009, Adam D'Sylva, christened Young Chef of the Year by The Age Good Food Guide 2008 and formerly of Pearl and Longrain, joined forces with Mykal Bartholomew, former manager of MoVida, and Kate Calder, ex-floor supervisor of Taxi, to open Coda. Occupying the old spot of Mini, this basement hideaway sets its own pace in the Melbourne CBD, offering a fusion of modern European and Asian tapas-style treats served on share plates. You can go from a rice paper roll to a sugarcane prawn to a snail in just a couple of bites.
