| With a name that hints at this venue's original incarnation, Hubcap is a secret playground behind the relatively unchanged facade of a Richmond wrecker's garage. Complete with a roller-door entrance and limited signage, this place seems determined to maintain an air of mystery. The renovated interior, a cavernous space that was once full of scrap metal and silent engines, sees locals hitting their ignition from Wednesdays to Saturdays with specialty martinis from the bar. Exposed brick walls lined with private booths furnished in deep red warm up the New York loft-style lounge section while rosy Japanese lanterns highlight the well-stocked bar. A raised dance floor with spinning twin disco balls adds a touch of glam, along with a spacious platform where you can beat out moves to the DJ's tunes.
