Episode 18: General
Melbourne is definitely home of the musical. Jersey Boys is now in town, and this week Postcards takes you behind the scenes of this song spectacular. The team also head to Geelong to spend a day with footballer Cameron Ling and enjoy the best fish n' chips in Queenscliff. We show you how to eat cake in South Melbourne and take you to Zenergie, a place where you will find a balance of yin and yang.
Mingarry Villas and Queenscliff Fish n' Chips
Mingarry Villas sits in a quiet pocket of Queenscliff with the waters of Port Phillip Bay on one side and Swan Bay on the other, making it an ideal spot to let the rest of the world pass you by, year round, whatever the weather. If you think the view of the Heads looks good, you'll be blown away by what's inside. All up there are four bedrooms - two with their own en-suites, two bathrooms - one with a luxury spa, two huge living areas with plasma TVs and four balconies. It's only about a 50-metre walk from the back gate to the beach through the ti tree and dunes, so there's no excuse for not spending some quality time on the beach. When its time to throw out a line there's more than one place to try your luck, but if your fishing proves to be unsuccessful, there's a place in town that always has the freshest catch. The Queenscliff Fish n' Chips shop has a reputation for serving up quality fresh fish and chips, the old school way.

Jersey Boys
Boy bands have been around since the start of rock and roll. Long before the Backstreet Boys and two or three years before The Beatles, there was Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Their story is told in Jersey Boys, Broadway's blockbuster musical, which has finally pulled up into the Princess Theatre for what is guaranteed to be the hottest ticket in town. Bobby Fox plays the lead and has managed to capture Frank Valli's amazing vocal range. If you grew up in the heyday of rock and roll you're going to love watching him sing all the classics. This power-packed show takes you behind the scenes to the rags to rock to riches tales of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, who, between 1962 and 1964, became one of the biggest pop sensations of all time. The Four Seasons wrote their own songs, invented their own sound, and sold 175 million records before they were 30. Jersey Boys is solid gold exploding on the stage with an avalanche of fantastic sounds, great hits and authentic costumes.

Edge is the perfect place to catch up with friends, which is what Lauren is doing. Located right on the waterfront in Geelong, a mere hour's drive from Melbourne, Edge has got something for everyone. There's a restaurant, a lounge and a great bar and whether you're after a beer or a premium spirit, you can find it here. While the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Lauren decided to hangout in the lounge, where she caught up with Geelong football star and Edge owner, Cameron Ling.
If you decide you don't want to drive back to Melbourne, the Four Points by Sheraton Geelong is right next door to Edge. Geelong's leading luxury hotel has nabbed a prime position right on the water, so many of the rooms have beautiful bay views. The luxurious Point Henry suite has a separate lounge, a bathroom complete with a spa bath and the world's best view to wake up to every morning.
