Number 5 is the newest hangout in Albert Park, with an exotic menu devised around Greek tapas selections by owner Maria Ziskos. Ziskos also designed and built the sleek cafe interior that features black and white seating with touches of red and wall-mounted plasma screens, giving it both a 60's op-art and ultra-modern vibe.

Perfect for breakfast, savoury lunch snacks, and afternoon sweet meats such as the famed Pink Heart Cupcakes, this cafe exudes a family-friendly vibe. Opening out to a back decking with sandpit, No 5 also offers a special kids menu with junior milkshakes, micro beef burgers, fairy bread and homemade sausage rolls - so it's no surprise why this is the choice destination for young funky families. Adults can indulge in fine espresso, spider sodas, hot chocolate and herbal teas paired with caviar, tzatziki, and eggplant dip on hot bread or any combination of dolmades, saganaki, loukaniko, chilli olives and fetta, octopus marinated in lemon and herbs or classic Greek salad.

At number 127 Victoria Avenue, the name of the cafe might be a bit of a mystery to non-Collingwood AFL supporters, who won't cheer the unofficial ode to Magpie captain Nathan Buckley's Number 5 Jersey. However, they can still enjoy the big breakfast menu fit to fuel any pro-sportsmen with Turkish bread, crumpets, Vienna sourdough, homemade porridge with chopped dates and honey, pancakes and specials named after top Greek destinations such as the Mykonos scramble (eggs with baby spinach, tomato and fetta) and the Athens daily - featuring kaseri cheese and toasted pita chips.
