The Undertaker derives its name from the previous function of the building, but there is nothing particularly solemn or morbid about the place now. The upstairs dining room is the more formal side of this vibrant and humming restaurant, contrasting with the casual (though equally chic) Undertaker Social downstairs. The space is bright and shiny with glossy American oak, an opulent antique chandelier and a blue-and-gold Florence Broadhurst feature wall. The menu takes inspiration from the Mediterranean, with chef Ian Alexander manning the pass. Alexander formerly headed up the kitchen at Middle Eastern and Mediterranean favourite MoMo, working with acclaimed chef Greg Malouf.
