We have spent many an Autumn afternoon standing on the banks of the Yarra river near the Swan st bridge, BBQ'ing our favourite food & watching the sun go down. It's such a beautiful place & a beautiful time of year & day.
In an almost idyllic setting, the kids would run around & play, watching the boats go up & down, then sit down to eat & chat about the day, or what we might be doing that night. Often, we would use the BBQ as a springboard to a game at the "G", or an event at Rod Laver; With the botanic gardens behind, & the river in front, they truly were magic times
