Brown Sugar cafe is a place I just have to visit when I am in Melbourne. And anyone I know travelling there is told about this secret little gem, or simply dragged there if with me, as it's a wonderful and convenient place to stop at in the CBD.
You will find it on Block Place, a great little lane, tucked off Little Collins Street, full of great cafes mostly, but Brown Sugar is the best! (I begrudgingly tried a couple of others!).
Their coffee is superb, the menu and food is just fantastic - love their caesar salad and the deserts are wonderful. And to top it off their staff are always always just so pleasant and friendly.
It's so relaxed, sort of quaint, and for people (like my husband) who don't like tables close together it just doesn't seem to matter, as there's a hum about and the atmosphere couldn't be better.
The secret of Brown Sugar just has to be shared!
