On a recent trip to Mornington Peninsuala my son booked me into the Gardeners Cottage at Briarswood Cottage at Mt Martha. For a getaway romantic weekend it was everything you could want. quiet private and within a stones throw of the beach and fantastic views of the harbour with Melbourne in the distance. In the cottage all sorts of goodies are supplied for breakfast, a BBQ is provided and you can dine on the patio in a most beautiful setting, and if you look carefully yes there are fairies tucked away in the trees.You are awoken with beautiful sound of birds singing to their hearts content . Everything you can want is provided in the cottage, even monopoly, scrabble and many more games, books to read, telly etc. The hosts are friendly and willing to chat and tell you the history of the main house. Yes, they have the most cutest wee dog, very friendly and obedient. At Briarswood you are close to many tourist places, and the locals go out of their way to speak and smile. A truly great weekend away and so reasonable. Would highly reccomend to all.
