Stokehouse

To while the afternoon away, an al fresco lunch on a nice summer's day, the place to be is Stokehouse on Jacka Boulevard. It's right on the beach in St Kilda with panoramic views of the white sandy beach. Sit in the sun on the balcony upstairs with a glass of Melbournes finest, some fresh seasonal oysters with ginger dipping sauce and a red wine and shallot vinegar. You get views of the city in one direction and look out over Port Phillip Bay in the other. It's extraordinarily beautiful and so relaxing.
