On 26 Dec 2005, two proposals took place at the Twelve Apostles..

It was our first overseas trip together, and needless to say, all 6 of us were excited beyond words. It became real interesting when I was told that one friend will be proposing to his girlfriend during the trip! What a great secret to have, and the fun we had, giving ideas & all.

We arrived on Christmas Day, and on the second day, we headed off towards the Great Ocean Road. The views along the way were so beautiful & thought-evoking. By the time we reached 12 Apostles, it was already late in the afternoon. We booked ourselves a helicopter ride, and up we went!

During the ride, my boyfriend was behaving rather weirdly, but I was too busy admiring the scenery to pay much notice to him. Then he started asking if I could hear him. That was when I got slightly irked. And before I could turn & ask him what he was doing, he took out this little square box. My heart was racing by then.. And when he asked the question, I couldn't even reply! I was busy laughing & tearing & shivering with happiness.. And it was obvious that the gang, and even the pilot, was in cahoots with him!

It was only after landing that I realised that while I was told about our friend's proposal, the other girl was told about ours! After we got on the white helicopter, the other couple went up the yellow one. And there we are, 2 newly engaged couples..! =)

My husband and I very much wanted to capture the sights of the fateful trip, and we planned a pre-wedding photoshoot in Australia in 2007. We re-traced the places we went in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Australia left such a big impression on us, that it is now the one place where we will never stop talking about. It will always have this little soft spot in all our hearts. And we will try and make little trips there again. Upcoming - Dec 2009..
