National parks and reserves – Gippsland

Croajingolong National Park

Many parks and reserves are potentially affected by current fires and are being closed as a precautionary measure, or because they are within fire affected areas.

Gippsland has some of the most remote and spectacular national parks in Victoria. Wilsons Promontory National Park contains the largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria, including granite headlands, pristine beaches, mountains, forests and fern gullies.

Another spectacular national park to visit is the World Biosphere Reserve, Croajingolong National Park which offers a wonderfully diverse range of landscapes from pure white sandy beaches, rocky coastal headlands and granite peaks to rambling heathlands, lush rainforests and towering eucalypts.
