Flinders
When James Reyne, former front man of one of Australia's favourite bands, Australian Crawl, invited Glen for a day on the Mornington Peninsula, it was an offer he couldn't refuse. Flinders is a 90-minute drive from Melbourne and is one of the Peninsula's oldest farming regions. With such an amazing coastline and a lush and fertile countryside, it's easy to see why the Peninsula provides such inspiration for James.

Warrook Cattle Farm
The country is just 55 minutes from the city at Warrook Cattle Farm, which is at Monomeith along the South Gippsland Highway, 10 minutes past Tooradin. Grand Ridge Brewery
Only 156 kilometres south east of Melbourne high up in the stunning Strzelecki Ranges, you'll find Mirboo North, home to one of the most acclaimed breweries in the state – Grand Ridge Brewery. This Holy Grail of breweries has collected just about every beer award imaginable. They've won over 100 international medals, every Australian title that exists (and most of these several times over), not to mention the illustrious Victorian Premier's trophy three out of a possible six times. If that hasn't sold you, we don't know what will.

Creswick
The township of Creswick is located on the Midlands Highway, 15 minutes drive from Ballarat and over an hour from Melbourne. First stop is the Creswick Woollen Mills, which is celebrating its 60th birthday this year. Next stop is coffee and cake on Tonia Todman's recommendation at the Smokeytown Café, and finally a trip to the Creswick Museum, which is home to the famous family of artists – the Lindsays.
