This classic corner pub is a self-proclaimed 'parma heaven', drawing devotees to the town hall precinct for their regular fix. This is an Irish pub, so the parmas share the menu with hearty pub grub, such as steaks, chunky wedges and a seafood basket. However the chicken parmigiana is undoubtedly the star of the show, with more than 12 varieties on offer. The original recipe is available for appreciators of the classics (or the just plain unadventurous), joined by a seafood parma, an Aussie barbecue version with lashings of barbecue sauce, and a Mexican parma layered with spicy Napoli sauce, mozzarella and guacamole. Packed with parma, diners can wander out to the courtyard or the balcony with a cleansing glass of Pure Blonde, Hahn or Kilkenny, or a fruity wine from one of Bendigo's surrounding wineries.
