Tarwin Riverside

Set amidst 1½ acres of well established gardens, opposite the beautiful Tarwin River, there are 2 self catering apartments in a shared courtyard with barbeque and 3 motel-style rooms, each with its own patio area.

There is one 2 bedroom apartment with queen and 2 singles, separate sitting room/dining area with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower. This apartment can be let as a one bedroom unit. There is also a Studio apartment with double bed, full kitchen and ensuite with shower.

The motel-style rooms have one double or queen size bed, at least one single bed (one room has an additional single bed) and en suite with shower. Each room is equipped with TV, clock radio, heater, ceiling fan, hair dryer, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery and glasses.

On the Cape Liptrap Coastal Tourist Route to Wilson’s Promontory, Tarwin Lower boasts shops, tennis courts and the famous Riverview Hotel (adjacent to our property) which provides meals, atmosphere and regular entertainment.

On the banks of the Tarwin River we have the longest barbeque table in Victoria which seats 120 people, a riverside boardwalk, fishing platforms and boat ramp.

We are only minutes from Venus Bay’s five patrolled surf beaches, the Anderson Inlet for fishing, boating, jet skiing and swimming, Point Smythe for bushwalking and Bald Hill Wetlands for bird watching.

There are kangaroos, koalas, wombats and a wealth of bird life in the immediate vicinity. The Tarwin Craft Market is held in the village each Public Holiday Monday.

Nearby attractions include Stony Creek Races and Go-Kart Track, Walkerville’s Lime Kilns and Lighthouse, the famous Koonwarra Store (centre for South Gippsland’s “Slow Food Festival”), an abundance of quality vineyards and famous local farm produce, plus the usual eclectic mix of restaurants, cafés and bistros associated with a holiday by the water.
