Tara House Bed and Breakfast

Set on 2/3rd of an acre restored homestead Tara House offers traditional Bed and Breakfast. Accommodation comprises of three large, period furnished rooms with own ensuites - one with clawfoot bath. 

Each room is individually heated and has ceiling fans for the warmer evenings. All beds have electric blankets and the option of doona or blankets.  A guest lounge offers a blazing fire in winter, CD/DVD/VIDEO/CABLE, games or a place to relax.  This area is air conditioned.  A comprehensive library is available in a separate building.

Gourmet breakfast can be taken in the formal dining room, guest lounge (separate dining table) or in the garden.  Some gluten free and lactose alternatives are available.
The gardens have been recently restored to enhance the ambience of the property. A new rose garden with arbour compliments the existing rose beds. There is a secluded BBQ area for guests. There are many secluded pockets to relax and read or have a quiet moment. The wide, shady verandas provide another place to sit and watch the sun set or sip a glass of wine or enjoy some tea.

On arrival freshly baked muffins with tea or coffee is served to welcome guests; at 5.30pm local goats' cheese and wine is available in the guest lounge as pre-dinner starter.  Complimentary port and tokay with chocolates is also on offer to complete the evening.   A communal refrigerator stores water, milk, ice and wine glasses; tea, coffee and biscuits are for self-service.

Dinners can be arranged with prior notice.

A perfect place to relax or base to visit the Gippsland lakes or Hotham Snowfields.
