The Whittlesea Courthouse Visitor Information Centre is an accredited volunteer service organisation dedicated to providing a tourism information service for visitors to Victoria from Australia and the rest of the world.

It is an Ambassador for Whittlesea township and the City of Whittlesea and helps to support the many attractions which the region has to offer.

The Courthouse Association, through the Centre, takes great pride in supporting the Agricultural Show, held in November each year, and the Country Music Festival, held in early February, which attracts many well known artists from Australia and overseas.

The Courthouse also produces a magazine, the Town Crier, containing news of all the local organisations, of upcoming events, and provides an outlet for business advertising, vital to the community. The motto of this publication is appropriately "Of the community, for the community and by the community” and has a circulation of approximately 4000 copies throughout the district.

If you are coming to Melbourne, take time out to travel just 44 kilometres due north to this very pretty little town in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. It is the gateway to a very interesting and beautiful area with rolling hills and many rewarding features.

You may be sure of a very warm welcome if you do come, a dedicated team of trained volunteers is there to say g'day and to provide you with all the information that you may require to make your visit a memorable one.
