As part of the Brown Brothers wine estate in Milawa, the Epicurean Centre's primary purpose is to create cuisine to complement and showcase the estate's wine. Chef Chris Lee tastes every wine first, and then tailors each meal to perfectly match that particular drop. Lee's dishes tend towards a Mediterranean/Australian fusion, but will depend on what is in season in the area, whether it there is a profusion of trout, perfect local chestnuts or perhaps some just-ripe persimmons. The service is helpful, with staff even able to fetch you a few bottles from the cellar door to take home with you.
