This term 'pub' hardly seems to suit this bar and restaurant anymore. The dining room is now a pristine picture with acres of white linen and polished floorboards. Owner Damien Hobday is behind the nearby Vin Cellar, a fine-diner/wine cellar, and his passion for wine continues at the Argo with Riedel glassware and a list of more than 1600 bottles. However, though wine might be a focus, the kitchen is by no means neglected. It has its own committed fan club, who come for the opulent French-influenced cuisine.
