| This simply decorated restaurant, owned by Mitsuru Yamakoshi (ex-Daimaru), is a great place to experience more unusual Japanese offerings such as octopus pancakes or chirashi. Groups will appreciate options such as the sukiyaki hotpot, which is cooked at the table in stock. Known for high quality sushi and sashimi, Daimonji's prices are nonetheless reasonable, plus there is a sushi bar down the back, allowing for an even more casual experience, if desired. The brief wine list has only a few by the glass, however there's no corkage on BYO.
