Work Melbourne

Short Training Courses for Work

Want a hospitality or construction job, but don't have the skills to get hired? Short training courses are available to prepare you for some types of work in Victoria.

Short skills courses run for between 1 day and 6 weeks in length. Food and beverage courses will give you basic food and drink service training, and barista skills courses will give you the basic skills to work in a cafe. Make sure that your course is valid for the State you want to work in.

Victorian bars don't need you to have a special license, but you will have to complete a free online course, found here: www.consumer.vic.gov.au.

For more information on training courses available visit www.travellersxpress.com, www.edway.com.au, www.qhint.com and www.studymelbourne.vic.gov.au. You can also browse vocational courses available at www.skills.vic.gov.au.

You may be asked to meet some basic English language proficiency and other entry requirements before you start.
