Lawrence at Pelican Pantry

Pelican Pantry
Pelican Pantry is a training facility offering a licensed 130 seat cafe, with an a la carte menu and full waiter service. Overlooking the Hastings Foreshore, and adjoining the Pelican Park Recreation Centre, the Pantry provides a picturesque outlook for those wanting to take some time out while enjoying fine food.

Pelican Pantry is staffed by students, trainees and full-time employees who obtain training in the fields of hospitality/retail and tourism, enabling them to receive the 'hands on' learning they need to get started in these industries. Pelican Pantry trainees may come from a wide range of social training and development programs.

The friendly nurturing environment and beautiful surroundings make the Pelican Pantry restaurant a meaningful and fulfilling working experience. Pelican Pantry graduates are sought after by local employers for their confidence, skills and excellence in customer service.

Dermott milking at the Yarra Valley Dairy

Yarra Valley Dairy
Yarra Valley Dairy offers a delightful experience of fine food and wine. It's situated in the centre of a picturesque dairy farm in the heart of the Yarra Valley where you can taste some of the finest traditional Australian cheeses. The cheeses are made from goats milk or from the milk provided by the cows grazing on the pastures outside the dairy door window. You can watch cheese being made through the viewing window or taste the hand-made farmhouse cheeses along with fine wines from small single vineyards.

Enjoy the pleasure of good food and wine along with beautiful views of mountains, vineyards and pastures while the cows meander by on the way to be milked.
