Episode 17: Best Of Celebrity Special
It's that time of year when we start to look back on how much ground we have already covered. If you're looking for inspiration over the long weekend, join us for the first Postcards 'best of' special for 2008 – a recap of our presenters' favourite celebrity stories. This week we share some tales with the likes of Garry Lyon, Ian Stenlake, Shelly Craft, Trent Croad and Mildura's most famous son, Chef Stefano Di Peri.
Mildura with Stefano De Pieri
Mildura is a bustling regional city, set on the banks of the Murray. Famous for its river life and agriculture, the popular tourist spot is located in the far north-western corner of Victoria, over an hour's flight from Melbourne with Qantaslink. Suzie takes a tour of Mildura with the town's unofficial ambassador TV chef and food writer Stefano De Pieri, starting at 27 Deakin, his good food store and café. Next they visit The Mildura Brewery which opened in 2004 in the former Astor Theatre, next door to The Grand Hotel. You can watch the brewing in process and enjoy a drink later in the pub on the premises.

Sorrento with Trent Croad
Because of its fantastic beach, Sorrento has been a favourite summer setting for Melbournians since the 1870s. With water activities galore and a bigger reputation for al fresco dining than you can sink your teeth into, it's no wonder Shane's fellow team mate, Trent Croad, has made this coastal village his home ground. Hotel Sorrento is a fantastic spot for a bite of lunch before Trent takes Shane to his favourite spot for jet skiing Diamond Bay, a five minute drive from Sorrento towards Rye.

Guys and Dolls Ian Stenlake
It's always exciting when one of Melbourne's most beautiful theatres, The Princess, is showing a big production. We thought it would be fun to ask Guys and Dolls cast member and Channel Nine star of the hit series Sea Patrol, Ian Stenlake, about his three favourite spots around town.
Ian and Suzie head to Mart 130, a café with a tricky story behind it, for some melt-in-your-mouth corn fritters. Catching trams and trains from Middle Park, they head to the city for one of Ian's favourite lunch spots: Centro Citta. Now it wouldn't be a day out with an actor unless you went to their favourite after-show drinking hole. And Ian's favourite is just around the corner from the
Princess Theatre at Phoenix Bar on Flinders Street.

Shelley Craft's Melbourne
Melbourne's bayside is one of the best strips on which to enjoy a coffee, water sports or just a care free walk along the beach. It was no surprise then when travel reporter and Queenslander Shelley Craft, chose to catch up with Gorgi in St Kilda. A latte by the bay, a stroll along the boardwalk in Elwood and some shopping at the South Melbourne market were on Shelley's itinerary of favourite spots.
