| Bursting onto the Collingwood scene, Provenance Food and Wine brims with an infectious enthusiasm for regional and seasonal produce. A cafe and bar all in one, those wanting a glass of bubbles or a Bloody Mary with breakfast can do so with delights that range from tomato and basil on toast to black pudding with potato rosti and apple sauce.
The food ups the ante come lunchtime with a selection of small and large plates on offer, designed for sharing. Patrons can munch on mushroom and hazelnut salad with ricotta, baby spinach and cider and thyme vinaigrette or choose a simple, but fulfilling dish of marinated cured trout on toasted spelt loaf.
The party is certain to continue throughout the night with a drinks list of predominately South Australian and Victorian wines, and a neat selection of draught beer, including the award winning Little Creature's Bright Ale.
