| Once upon a time this place was a bathers' pavilion; now, its regular visitors indulge in a different kind of bathing, soaking up the beachside atmosphere and saturating their tastebuds with fresh high-quality meals in both the Beach House restaurant and cafe. Overlooking Geelong's Eastern Beach, this relaxing spot has attracted praise from The Age Good Food Guide and other sources, mainly because of its unique modern Australian-cum-international menu. Its dishes display its diverse spread of influences, from linguini marinara to Thai yellow curry, to much-loved seafood treats using local produce such as the steamed mussels and the crispy soft shell crab.
For a more casual affair, the downstairs cafe offers light nosh, all-day breakfasts, gourmet sandwiches, salads and takeaway delights. This beachside escape also offers a bar that houses interstate and imported wines along with other liqueurs, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. Fine food in a fine atmosphere is what it's all about at the Beach House.
