A birdwatchers paradise.  Platypus Ponds Bed & Breakfast is nestled in nature on 3 acres of private reserve abounding in birdlife on the banks of the Cabbage Tree Creek including the distinctive sight and sound of the native Lyrebird..  Great photography opportunities with up-close encounters from your own balcony or sitting on the creek bank. 

Watch Bellbirds dive on the dam whilst enjoying a quiet drink in the evening.  The Azure Kingfisher and White Faced Pacific Heron are also frequent visitors.

Just 200 metres off Princes Highway and 10 minutes drive from the Ocean, set midst 7 National and Coastal Parks, there is plenty to see and do.
Enjoy rainforest walks, fishing, swimming, sightseeing, or just lazing on your own private balcony.
