Bengal Tiger sits in the site once occupied by The Nelson Hotel back in the '80s. While the space has been decked out in the sort of fiery reds and yellows one imagines to be appropriate for an Indian eatery, this restaurant retains a touch of the dim, old-fashioned glamour of the hotel. The tandoor ovens dominate, cooking up meat, fish and naan, while the rest of the menu is dedicated to rich classic curries and unique creations such as the 'Bengal Tiger special' - chicken breasts stuffed with minced lamb and dried fruits, served with the house's special sauce.
